Back after a Quick Break

Another week of online classes pass by. This week was free from programs and competitions😁😅.  The week started with Joju sir's class on the qualities of a good evaluation and how one should be unbiased and give an objective evaluation of the paper irrespective of their emotional states. I think most of us have been a victim of improper evaluation at least once in our lifetimes. Then sir also gave a brief idea about the first work of the semester which is to develop a tool to evaluate a person's intelligence, mindfulness etc. In Maya ma'am's class we discussed about 'Kanthalloor Saalai' one of the first universities of the South of India. Few network issues forced ma'am to cancel one of the classes.  We learned about perception and sensation in Giby ma'am's class. Ma'am shared the story of the 'Professor and the Coffee Mug" to help us understand how perceptions can influence our thoughts. In the optional hours we learned about Concept

Update on our Editing skills!

Today is day 3 of reading week and it began with Deepthi ma'am's class. We continued with models of teaching. Later during Joju sir's class we discussed about formative and summative assessments. In Ancy ma'am's class we learned about learning disabilities. I'm happy that people are more aware of these difficulies than before. thanks to movies like 'Taare Zameen  Par'.  It was our association, Diksha's turn to release book review video and I'm may be little biased here but I think ours was the best among the ones released till now. Most of all I'm proud that everyone did their own video editing and designing and it was fabulous. Thanks to our new poster maker Revathy for the wonderful poster.

'Things are never good or bad, but our perceptions are'

The day began with a round of questioning by Ancy ma'am. Now onwards we need to be really prepared to ace the questions. Next we had Giby ma'am's class where we learned about perception. Later , during physical education class, sir gave a brief overview on this semester's activities for physical education. Today it was 'Ikya''s turn to present today's book review.

Yoga- Music Day celebrations

Over the weekend, our creative club, 'CREARE' conducted the inauguration and we reminded our friends with the help of a small creative video. Thank to some of the bright and creative minds of our club who helped in putting up a one of a kind program on Saturday. Everyone was mesmerized by the performance of Sreeram sir (chief guest) who is a well known flutist. He played every requested song on his flute.   21st June 2021  Today was filled with programs. Never thought I would've been able to say that during the pandemic. The union and our faculty is making sure that we do not miss any of that college fun at home. The day began with 'Yoga Day' program with Dr. S. Hari Krishnan( National Yoga Trainer) and the session was quite informative. Also, this week is 'National Reading Week' and every day each class will release a Youtube video, reviewing some books they have read.  The 'Sparya' association started the week with a bang.  Also. today is 'Worl

First Steps into Semester ✌

Like that our second semester has begun. The first semester exams will be conducted soon and I need to dust my books and start the preparation one by one. We had Joju sir's, Ancy ma'am's and Deepthi ,a'am's class and everyone gave an idea of the pending works of first semester and the works to be done for second semester. It going to be hectic, hope I'll have the strength to get through this.

MCQ Week 📗📖📕

The first MCQ exam was philosophy and it went well. To be honest I am attending an exam after a small gap and was a little scared. Later, we had Joju sir's class, sir completed the presentation on 'Role of Teacher in the Digital Era'. The second exam was psychology and the questions were very easy. We had Deepthi ma'am's class after the exam and we discussed about the behaviorism. I've heard a couple of times about Pavlov's experiment with his dog Bierka (which ma'am forgot during the class 😉) in movies and series (The Office, Big Bang Theory) but never thought I'll have to learn about it.   The third exam was 'Technology' and it went well. Later we had physical education class where sir demonstrated Shalabhasana, Noukasana and Dhanurasana. The third exam was an optional subject and we all did pretty well. Later ma'am discussed about constructivist lesson plan. The fourth and final MCQ tests were for optional subjects. Fortunately, all

A Moment for Mother Nature

Everyone is busy looting our Mother Nature, But not one has the time for her restoration. Floods, droughts, hurricanes, wildfires. We may call it the nature's wrath, But it's her plea to stop the torture, How can we turn a deaf ear to her cries? We have been cradled in her arms, But need a day to remind us of our duties towards her. Plant a tree, protect the ecosystem, Not because it's a hobby, it is our responsibility! We all are busy thinking about ourselves and our future in this world. But the thing we keep forgetting is that we do not have a future without our nature. Spending a fraction of our time and energy for the restoration of our ecosystems can make this Earth a much better place to live in.

Day 34 of Online Classes

Today usually marks the start of next academic year. But unfortunately we are stuck with our first semester. But soon we'll be starting with our next semester classes and all the preps are going in full swing. The first class for the day was physical education and we learned about the positive effects of aerobic and anaerobic exercises. Later we had Psychology and we did a small recap of the seminar portions taken by the physical science association.
